Welcome to
Club Hanwell is a community of people who are trying to change something.
- Chief executives and founders
- Ministers and diplomats
- Investors and economists
- Editors and academics
- Scientists
- Campaigners

What they have in common is a conviction that the world is not simply happening to them.

What is said in those rooms does not stay in them.

- Essays and interviews
- Film
- Research nobody else has run
- A quarterly, in print
It need not be a world where things merely happen to people.
Where it came from
Club Hanwell was founded in 2026 by The Hanwell Group, a campaigns and advisory firm that works with businesses, organisations and leaders around the world to help them navigate and generate change.
We started it because of something we have noticed across twenty-five years of this work. The conversations that change what somebody does next almost never happen on a panel. They happen quietly, between people who have each done a version of the same difficult thing, and they happen very largely by accident. It seemed worth arranging them on purpose.
The Rooms
Breakfasts, dinners, salons and briefings.
In London and wherever else the conversation is. Members are asked first.
The Journal
Essays, interviews and film.
Written by members, and by people we asked because we wanted to hear from them.
The Quarterly
Four times a year, in print.
Made properly, and made to be kept.
The Introduction
The shortest distance between two people.
Tell us who you ought to know, and we will make the call.
We convene through the year, around the moments where the people we want in a room are already in the same city.
